I’m coming from an iPhone 6 that would go from 100% to 20% in less than an hour. If the weather was anything below 60 it would die almost immediately. Had to keep a power bank with me to get through my work day lol.

Coming from an iPhone 7 plus, the battery life is a bit better with my typical usage. My 7 had a fairly new battery so it wasn't impacted by charge cycles. I am pleased with the battery life so far.

Super impressed with the battery life. I’m at almost 11 hours of use and still have 40% left. And I watched videos and listened to podcasts and music. So I’ve used it for media which consumes a lot of battery. I charge overnight and get up around 6:30am.... phone lasts me all day until I go to bed around 11 with about 20-30% or so to spare.

I use my phone a lot. I email constantly. Like constantly. I actually do all my work on my iPhone. Phone calls, sending large files of building drawings to vendors. I also watch videos on youtube when I get some time. On Tapatalk when I get a chance. Take pictures and videos of 4K 60fps of buildings and send them through email. I text 60% of my work day. I use GPS to go to different areas of the city. I have Bluetooth on for my Apple Watch and my AirPods. I get off at 5pm. Percentage its on at 5pm is between 47% - 52%. I’m happy.

You have to put some prospective to what a normal day looks like for you. For some of us a normal day is using the phone a lot more then others. Your blanket statement that it should not be running down so fast might be a bit off based on usage.
I can understand that. My phone is with me all day. My phone usuage does depend on how busy I am at work. I watch videos, view websites, check emails and I have my Bluetooth earbuds with me and listens to music all in my 9 hour work day. This is assuming I am starting with a 100% battery to begin the day. Once I get off I usually call my wife and text a lot with the kids. I haven’t been able to get the battery to drop to 20% by bed time. Again I keep my screen brightness on lowest setting.

Oh that gives a bit more context, but keeping the screen brightness at the lowest setting means you can experience the phone as its best. That would drive me crazy.

20 % remaining ... safari uses 50 %, I used it only 1 hours (no videos).

Strange, no ?

Was able to pull 10hr usage yesterday. Finally Might be settling in. I’ve also been running iOS 11.2 beta so idk if battery gets better on that build or what. Now I’m finally seeing times close to where my 8+ was.

This doesn’t make any sense. How is this even possible?

This is after I’ve run all my morning errands, sorted out my To Do list for the day, made some social media posts, read the news and made a couple of calls, and as I’m sitting down for lunch... it’s @ 97%.

Again, this is impossible battery life.

did you set it up as new?
[doublepost=1510426759][/doublepost]I wish there was a way to sync messages/iMessages via icloud

Yes I managed to setup my iPhone X as new and manually reinstall my apps, login them, resynce music and photos. Phew time consuming but I managed to go from 100GB usage (backup restore) to 65GB used (clean install and sync).

I am on the 3rd battery cycle since setting up iPhone as new and usage time for me has improved by half an hour so far. Note: Waze really demolished the 2nd battery screenshot below.

Really good. I am not a super heavy user, plus I have a wireless charger at my desk, so I rarely dip below 75%.

I took my X off the charger at 5:00 am yesterday and it hasn't been plugged in since. I keep mine at full brightness, too (Although, I am thinking of using auto-brightness because of burn-in). Right now it is at 50% battery, and here are my stats:

I agree. iPhone X has the best battery life of any smartphone out there right now. I couldn't be happier with how infrequently I need to charge this beauty.
I had the 8+ for 13 days then returned it to buy the X... the 8+ has way better battery life than the X
[doublepost=1511039024][/doublepost]Battery life is fine. Not as good as the 8+

That doesn’t seem to be the common thought around here from people that have been using the X for awhile. The 8 plus might be slightly better, but most say it’s really close.

Yeah, I've seen that, which always confused me. I consistently ended the day with ~20% more when I had the 8+
