Let me get this straight... A guy gets hacked and then tells the whole world exactly how he got hacked and had other people prove that the method works. This happens with a ton of Xbox Live accounts too. Microsoft doesn't seem to care. Also, since it's Microsoft and not Apple, the media doesn't care either.

Totally!! It doesn't make sense that you can wipe files owned by the admin without the admin password.

I'm sure that's the case with some. There were forums with many people comparing notes when mine was hacked. I know that I took every precaution but it didn't matter. There's lots of social engineering going on.

The boom began when EA decided that they'd allow people to buy DLC that they could trade to their "friends". That's when it became profitable to hack and sell.
