It's only just bee updated to the NVidia graphic chip in January.

I agree though , I don't expect it to be around very long, maybe until they use up all the cases they have lying around.

I'd say early summer when it go's for good , imo then we'll see an unibody replacement for it at the same price point.

No, that's ugly. It's just got a gross plastic coating on it, that doesn't even match the trackpad. It'd be nice if Apple just used an anodized aluminum, like the black iPod nano.

Total guess here but could someone good with a soldering iron upgrade the CPU on a Macbook?, didn't some guys manage that with the Mini a while back ?

the best black i have seen is on thinkpads, it doesn't have that extra-shiny smudge. No, i would not want to buy a black macbook pro. Maybe I'd consider it, If it maintained the same visual slickness as the existing macbook pro models.

My prediction as well, but I hope the replacement will come in at about 200$ less and with, say, a 11" screen 😛
