Actually, I wish Apple would stick a 15" display in the Pismo-style case and put in a 1GHz G4. I'd sell my TiBook today and get one. That way you would have expandability for Zip drives, SuperDrives, multiple batteries, etc.

Damn...you still use zip drives?...or just because you have alot of stuff saved on them from before?

I used a Zip 250 drive for a while, but not much anymore. It was good for small files when I didn't want to burn a CD for just a small amount of data. Too bad that you can't keep adding to a CD-R on the Mac like you can on a PC.

used a lot, owned a few...

Absolute favourite - clamshell iBook 12" 366Mhz iBookSE - still going strong today. If it was possible I would firstly upgrade this little portable to a G4 processor and secondly replace the screen and graphics chip for higher resolution. I just love the form factor - everyone still goes "wow" when you pull it out of your briefcase.

But... I love the TiBook and although I don't own one I have some hot money here waiting for when Apple update it to Al spec, then I'm buying.

Grizzly.

Yes you can.

Pismo

i'm just a little partial to the pismo:D :D :D :D ...however, when I purchase a 15" (or more!) powerbook, i'll probably like that design. I do like the dual batteries, expansion bay options and the sleek curves.

I want a 10 inch screen that is 800*600 (small, yes) with a 733 Mhz G4 and 6 hour battery life (real battery life, not addvertised). Also, 2 1.8 inch HDs 40 GB a piece, in RAID config. Also, AirportX, onboard bluetooth, 2Mbits/sec. full duplex RJ-11 modem (for dry pair lines) AirportX base-station capabilities, splitting keyboard panel that leads to DVD drive (like two reverse gull wind doors, which would be sweet like a 10 Ghz 1 watt 128-bit processor), touch screen with telescopic sylus that fits over screen to cover the microphone (pro-quality), keyboard displayed from a tiny projector, ATI 9900 Pro Portable with Mini-ADC port, and the works. 1/2 inch thick.

And what is the cure for 1024x768?

No doubt... pismo is a classic. If I had my choice between of a design that was repeated... Pismo.
