How accurate is the "check availability" option for nearby apple stores online ? If it says nothing available for iphone x, is it guaranteed they won't have anything in the store if i walk in ?

I would assume it's accurate. Your best bet is to check it between 5-6:00am when they replenish stock. If you see one jump on it quick for reserve pick up.
