I'm disappointed that we cannot see Apple TV apps in iTunes on the computer or on iPad/iPhones. It makes it hard to look and choose apps: can't see star ratings can't see old and most recent or sort reviews.

It really doesn't matter if we don't have an easier way to leave reviews. I'm not going to write very much if I can't type them.

I can write and read iPad/iPhone reviews (and make purchases) on my computer, it'd be really nice to do it for the Apple TV store. That said, I've never liked that I couldn't buy iPad apps on my iPhone (just like I can buy on the computer in iTunes).

They need an Apple App Store app (TV, Watch, Mac, iBooks, iDevices): I want to click on a developer and see what they've done for all apps. I want to see what kind of reviews they have for all their apps. Why? Because someone I've never heard of came out with an Apple TV app for $4.99, if they have 15 other apps with thousands of (non-spammy reviews) that are most 4-stars and up then I'm more likely going to buy it (than from looking at a few screen shots).

This is definitely one of the things Apple need to be looking at improving. I would think, or hope, that they are but you can never second guess Apple.

Not that I've ever paid too much attention to reviews. I've read such utter, let's say nonsense, in reviews that I mostly have up on them and relied on other sources for opinions.

I kinda feel the same way about text reviews, but sometimes they tell me exactly what I want to know about product. When I read "what I really like about this is that it does _____ and none of the other apps seem to do that" and that happens to be what I'm looking for, that's helpful.

Stars are helpful to: when it's ten thousand 1/2 star reviews OR ten thousand 4/5 star reviews, it gives you some kind of idea...

Oh they definitely have their uses I won't dispute that. I'm always just a bit wary of them.

I've been contacted by more companies than I can remember offering to put thousands of glowing 5 star reviews in my apps. A practice I despise but one that is used by many developers. Frankly I'd sooner have no reviews than thousands of fake ones.

I was thinking
They should let us write the review on the iPhone
Maybe create a separate Apple TV AppStore app you can download

It's a good idea, it would certainly overcome the limitations of the Apple TV text input.

I'm still hoping they do a significantly overhauled remote app, or a replacement for it. That has keyboard, Siri and touch controls for the new Apple TV. This sort of thing would be a good addition to that.

I'm slightly miffed that we can't even browse the Apple TV apps in iTunes and initiate downloads from there. I can go onto Sonys or Microsofts websites and start downloads to my consoles from there, it's annoying Apple isn't doing something similar already.

Apple just needs to update their remote app so that it works with the ATV 4. That way you would be able to use your iPhone or iPad as the keyboard to write reviews.
