Apple Store App. There's no Apple Store in my state unfortunately.

Dude.. I live in the Mobile, Alabama.. the 2nd biggest city in Alabama, and literally the city where Tim Cook is from.. and the closest Apple Store is 2 states/2 hours away (New Orleans). Like wtf.

Well I'm 15 & my wrist size is 160mm so i don't see my wrists growing 50+mm in 2-3 years.

If anything, I'll get another Apple Watch maybe Gen 3 or even Gen 4 time.

A solid investment!
Lol, I actually think think I was 18 or 19 when I bought my Movado. :)
It was my first $500 watch... *eek!*

True that! When I ordered my iPad Air 2, the Apple website on my Mac & PC weren't working with the same message says "We'll Be Back"

However, the Apple Store App worked straight away so I got a feeling that'll be the case with the Apple Watch preorders.

Yup. Same here with every device I've preordered since the app was created.

I live in Darwin, Australia. The nearest Apple Store is about four days drive away.

Does the Apple Store app uses express check out?
I think it's really important to use express check out on pre orders

I talked to an Apple Specialist about this in one of those online chats and asked if Express Checkout will be allowed for Apple Watch preorders.

They said yes, as long as you have express checkout enabled on that computer on the Apple Store website.

Now I don't think there's an express checkout option on the app but if you have your credit/debit card details saved to your account, all you need to do in check out is put in your security code (the 3-5 numbers on the back of your card) and it's done!

I'm doing it online. Hopefully they don't all sell out. I'm not sure what time pre-orders go live in the UK. I hope it's 7 am as I will be in front of a computer. At 8 am I'll be on a train but can always use my iPhone or iPad.

Hopefully it ain't nothing like the iPhone 6 & 6+ preorder night where problems were present left and right.

I've never preordered from Apple before. Do you guys know if you'll get a shipping/delivery estimate before/after you make the order? Or will you have to wait until a few days before the 24th to see estimate?

Because I think I'll go for the Space Gray Sport edition, but as it seems like it is the preferred combination among the users on MR, I think it'll maybe get sold out pretty quickly. So if I can see that I wouldn't be able to get it at launch (+a few days), I'll go for the SS instead.

Apple give you a delivery estimate before AND after you pre order any Apple product that has pre order status. The people who got their iPhone 6 & 6+ orders in last year early via Apple had the estimated delivery time saying that it would arrive on release date.

Hopefully the same will apply with AW.

Ouch. I feel for you, mate. I would move. I don't think I could handle that, lol.
I'm fortunate to have a large one about 15 minutes away from my house (and 5 minutes from my workplace) and three others within a one hour radius.

I'm not pre ordering. Just like I don't pre order clothes or jewelry.

I don't get why would anyone pre order something like Apple Watch. I have to try every single option through and be 100% sure about my decision before throwing big amount of money on technologically advanced piece of jewelry that I'm going to wear for the next 4 years all day every day.

Do it from the Apple Store App if you can. This has always been the fastest way to preorder other products.

Because you can have it delivered to your home and avoid the crowds?

You never ordered clothing or jewelry online without trying it on?

I have two with 15 minutes of my house. It's really nice. It would be such a pain to live really far from one.

Was that the first time you ever did a preorder?

Because the delays and problems are common. :)

I'm fortunate too. I have one about 20 mins. drive away and another four within an hours Tube ( subway train ) ride away here in London. It's great not only to try out products and buy them when I want to in store but also to have access to the Genius Bar for repairs and replacements.

Well others are sure of the design their going with and what model. Some just know what they want from the beginning, others will be 'store wonderers' and go through trying all 20+ models before making a decision. The level of fuss I guess ranges from one person to another.

I'm hoping the preorder to collect from store option is easier to find than it was for the iPhone 6 preorder.

Looking forward to going in store on launch day to check out the buzz.

My nearest Apple Store is 90 minutes away from where my Mum lives but 5 minutes away from where my dad lives.

Similar situation for me...I have 5 Apple Stores within 35 miles of my house. The closest is 10 minutes away, there is also one 15 minutes from my job so it makes appointments and purchases fairly easy.
