I'm going tonight to the apple store tonight, my friday night , and my ultimate test will be opening a couple of pdfs I have and seeing which one is clearer and requires less pinching and zooming. Does dropbox come standard or do I have to download it from the appstore onto the device at the store? I'm already a little worried about entering my dropbox account details on public ipads let alone entering my itunes account info

I mean pdf files, web browsing, magazines? How about videos(Netflix,tv apps)

I'm considering buying this later as I'm not sure I'd need the new rMini.

Bad. Its not good. If you really want a dedicated reading device, either get the retina iPad Mini or save almost 200 dollars and get the nexus 7 2nd generation.

I would recommend getting the retina display mini if your primary purpose is for reading. Movies and pictures isn't really affected much by the display, it's mostly based on the source. A retina display will not make low quality movies or low resolution pictures look better.

Wrong, retina is definitely easier on the eyes better for reading

It's really not that bad. Plus you can always enlarge your text or zoom into a page. But obviously the retina is crystal clear, especially for smaller, thinner text.
