how big are mailboxes?

Hi everyone!
I'm currently on a freeing up HDD space rampage! 7 GB in the past day and a half! I was wondering how I could check on the size of my mailboxes in apple mail to see if it's worth it to delete old stuff...

oh, and can I empty the mail downloads folder or at least move its contents to more reasonable places?
