between the NVIDIA 8800GS GPU that's on the 24in iMac and the NVIDIA 9400 (or is it 9600) that will most likely be placed on the upcoming release? Is there a big difference between the two? I'm not into heavy video editing, but will soon be using FCE and iMovie when I get my new video cam in a few months. No major video editing but I would like to mess around with it. Will there be a major difference?

Are you going to be gaming? Does your life depend on Core Image performance?

I'm not planning on buying a new machine I just wanted to know how big of a difference the NVIDIA 8800GS that I currently have on my system would be compared to the new NVIDIA chipsets that will be put on the upcoming update.

It'll only matter most to a gamer.

    No pray it's ATI.

I have the 8800 and it's pretty much going to waste I believe. Though I am one really cool ****ing girl for having it. /shrug
