It's pretty powerful. Will light up a decent size room in total darkness without a problem. And it blinded the crap out of me when I looked at it directly.

My Dad didn't like it when i shined it at him if that helps lol. It's pretty bright, probably around the same as a cheap led flashlight.

It's as bright as those audio LED parking lights. But if it's not as bright, it's definitely AS WHITE. Mucho high Kelvin color temp!

I was expecting the LED flash to be of the cracker-jack variety found on blackberries. You know, barely bright enough to be useful, but better than nothing. It's actually quite bright. It's not going to replace a real flash in a dedicated camera, but it's definitely useful for close-ups, and it WILL make people squint if they're not expecting it.
