how bright is the led flash on iphone 4?

    how bright is the led flash on iphone 4?
    is it strong enough to flash across the next house if you stand outside your house at night?

    It's pretty powerful. Will light up a decent size room in total darkness without a problem. And it blinded the crap out of me when I looked at it directly.

    My Dad didn't like it when i shined it at him if that helps lol. It's pretty bright, probably around the same as a cheap led flashlight.

    It's as bright as those audio LED parking lights. But if it's not as bright, it's definitely AS WHITE. Mucho high Kelvin color temp!

    it does produce a good amount of heat after video recording with flash for a couple of minutes.

    I can flash the next house if I stand outside at night :D

    But seriously, pretty bright. Like, “Ow, my eyes" bright.

    Agree - I saw lights in my eyes after someone took a pic of me.

    I was expecting the LED flash to be of the cracker-jack variety found on blackberries. You know, barely bright enough to be useful, but better than nothing. It's actually quite bright. It's not going to replace a real flash in a dedicated camera, but it's definitely useful for close-ups, and it WILL make people squint if they're not expecting it.
