    Try this?

:apple:You could try DFU mode then find a copy of the 2.2 and place it in iTunes delete the other firmwares in the iTunes folder dissconnect from the iternet and hope that works!:apple:

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to downgrade?

Honestly as you can see I have a 2g and a 3g(which is my black 16gig) I got a white 16gig from my job as a gift. So I want to JB an unlock my black 16gig with yellow snow. That is the reason why I want to downgrade. In order to unlock a 3g you need to be running FW 2.2 or lower. ;)

I'm guessing the reason why he/she asked is that you can't downgrade firmware to unlock. :) The baseband stays at 2.30 (cannot be downgraded) which is incompatible with yellowsn0w.

    Please read items 1, 2, 3 and 4. 4 is the important one. :)
