Looking to sell my MacbookPro on Ebay. How can I find out some info about it's
details - age / model numbers etc.

Upper left, click the Apple logo, 'About this mac'

There you'll find everything you need.
 
Thanks - but I can't see its manufacturing date ( which is the main thing I'm
after ).

The app Coconut battery will show you the manufacture date.
