I bought this monitor and to my dismay, my mac is stretching the resolution to fit the screen. I understand that this is due to the HDMI's inability to display over 1920x1200. I've read about other people's workarounds using adapters for MBP's on here but haven't read anything about the limitations of an old mac with this particular card.

Can I do anything with this setup or should I buy a new monitor or a new video card? Also, keep in mind that eventually I would like to run two of these as a dual screen setup for a DAW.

Thanks in advance!!!

What type of ports does your 5750 have ? If it has a DisplayPort or a DVI port , then maybe you'll get better resolution choices using that instead of HDMI . DP and DVI are the preferred interfaces for the cMP . I would just get a regular DP or DVI cable and not mess around with adapters .

Thanks for the reply! The card has (2) dvi, (1) HDMI, and (1) display port 1.2.

This is rather troubling to wrap my head around. Is there any chance that this would work for at least ONE of the ultrawide's.... also, the monitor has (2) HDMI inputs and that is it.

This would go from my DP 1.2 and I could use a typical HDMI from there to the back of the LG. Or so I would hope.
