How can I gt the old Gallery View in Finder on Ventura

Ventura 13.4.1

I've always used the Gallery View in FInder which showed a preview image of the file on the right, and a list of the files on the left. This way I could quickly see the image and name of the files at the same time in the same window.

Now this Ventura Gallery View is showing a preview image of the file and the icons of the files. but no list, and you can only see a small portion of the files in the window, whereas in the old view you could see loads of files because it was a list.

I have tinkered around with the view options in Ventura but I don't see how to get anything like the old Gallery view. This Ventura Gallery view is useless to me.

So my question - is there a way to get the old gallery view with some settings or terminal commands... thanks

In Ventura, try Column view. Looks somewhat like the older Gallery view (shows a preview of the file), and shows you the list of files, too.
Might be a change (I never compared the various View settings in Ventura), so maybe you could update to the current version 13.5

My wager is that it will take a third party app to do what you want, and heaven only knows how long it will be until someone puts one out, or a change is made to some app that's already popular.

I had not noticed that there has been a change. I'm with you, the old Gallery View was better. Why do they keep messing with things? Would it be a sin to have a fifth option for View instead of taking away one people are used to??
