How can I have Numbers have smaller cell heights than 9px?

In one of my .xlsx files, I use certain cells with a height of 2-4 px. Numbers can't seem to display them properly, the lowest possible value seems to be 9px. Is there a workaround for this? Right now, I use SoftMaker Office because it does not have this anti-feature, but I wonder if the Apple suite could work for me somehow.

I tried it and if I set the rulers to points then the smallest row I can get is 8 points, 0.12 inches. So yes, I guess you are right.

You can hide rows and/or columns, if that helps, with what you are trying to accomplish.

Not really. In the spreadsheet where I “need” this feature, narrow rows are mostly used as “more flexible borders”.

Did you read the Product Feedback Section under that? You can give product feature enhancement requests for existing products via that form. It’s even a drop-down option in the form.
