How can I jailbreak a 3.1.3 1st gen iPod touch?

    Yep. If you can't run iOS4...which you can't, Spirit is the way to go.

    Yup. Just enough that my 1st gen is worth keeping. I'm guessing, two generations down the line I will upgrade because apps will need iOS.

    Most likely he is saying the 6th;)

    I have hopes of upgrading my ipt probably 2-3yrs from now, if it exist.

    Oops. ;)

    I think they will stop after a 5G and release a new touch-screen device to take its place.

    Im not sure.... the nano has a 5G and will most likely get a 6G.
