So my sister just got a MacBook Air. She’s coming over from an old windows desktop and wanted a laptop. I recommended her a MacBook she got one and loves it so far but wants me to help walk her through some of the setup. I have an older iMac so know a little bit about them but not a whole bunch.

Anyway she likes the Integration with her iPhone but had a question and wanted to know if there’s a way that she can lock her Notes or specific apps? I came across some ways to lock certain notes but is there a way to lock the app completely? Maybe where it’ll require TouchID?

Thanks for any help!!

Also a side question if anybody has any recommendations on some must have apps for her it’d be appreciated? I’m not up to date on any of the new recent apps as I use my Mac sparingly. Are Alfred and BetterTouchTool for gestures still good apps or is there better versions?

Or, use Secure Notes in Keychain Access. This way, a person would need to enter your admin pass or Touch ID to see the content of a note.

How are such notes viewed on the iPhone? I believe interoperability between Mac and iPhone was indicated as an upside.
