I am working over in Australia for a couple of months and got the iPhone 4 on release in the UK on the 24 of June, the only micro sim available in Oz is for the iPad, so bought one with a view of using it for data purposes on lt on the Testra 3G network .... no joy, just keeps coming up with Invalid Sim, but previously was getting a signal, be it weak .... believe it has something to do with the network settings and configuration ..... can anyone help, achieved what I'm after or know for a fact its a lost cause???

I'd suggest you go back to the Telstra ship and ask for a regular month to month account with a microsim. This will work in your iphone as voice and give you data. Depending on how much data you need, you can pay about $19 per GB if you have an ABN Number or the business your working for does.

I appreciate the reply, but I don't need to put a micro sim in a adapter as my iphone 4 already can accept a micro sim!

You would be doing me a huge favor if you go here:

    Start off at Step #8.

I'm hoping this mod isn't specifically for AT&T (for your sake).

I'm considering doing the same thing but need to get a microsim first.
Try it out and let us know if you have any luck.

    GOOD LUCK!
