Hi there,

I've recently bought a G4 PowerBook as birthday present for my father so he's able to record himself playing piano through line in. I've been a long time mac user now but my father is a total computer n00b. He doesn't know anything about computers, hasn't even got a clue what files/folders are.
Now I've been wondering how audio recording could be dramatically simplified to the core task. Here are my plans so far:

1. Create user with will automatically launch recording software/iTunes at startup, deny everything else.
2. Maybe find a solution which will transfer his audio tracks "magically* into iTunes. No Idea how this could be done best.

Please help me to make this task as simple as possible. I didn't even decide what audio recording software I should use. It should be as simple as clicking at big red recording button or something.

At one point I've been also thinking about a custom solution I could program myself using Cocoa/Core Audio etc. but right now my time is very limited and doing something like that still needs some time and testing and what not.

Any ideas are appreciated.
