How can I prevent a Home Pod Mini from listening to me?

Turn it off. Go to the Home app, tap and hold on the HomePod icon and tap on the gear icon (if you donˋt see it, scroll down).

So…. Is your advice more prone to show how to void the warranty/damage the product or actually correct the problem? (Don’t actually answer that, that was rhetorical.) Because I suspect you generally have no idea what you’re talking about. Which, I totally understand that can be the norm when someone doesn’t have any experience at all with a product, however; there is no disconnecting anything, when it’s a soldered component.
