How can I record my voice on OS X?

Using only the standard Apple apps (and not downloading any 3rd party software) how can I record using the mic built into my MacBook?

QuickTime Player in Snow Leopard can do this, as the poster above me said. However, if you don't have SL yet, or your Mac doesn't support it, I'm not entirely sure which application to use.

Or you can use photobooth, and export only the audio with for example iMovie or more easy quicktime 7 pro

Garage Band will do it, too.

Sadly there's no Sound Recorder style program that ships with OS X.
