Back in the days of MobileMe I remember that there was a simple way of replacing Mac or cloud data with the info you wanted to. Now that option is gone and i'm having a lot of trouble with inconsistent data.
I recently installed Facebook integration to ML, but it messed up my contacts. No prob here, I remove my Facebook account in the pref pane, and restored my contacts from TimeMachine.
But iCloud kept replacing it with its own data, so I deleted all my contacts from the cloud, and again restored my data from TimeMachine. Now iCloud is replacing my info with nothing. Zero. Thanks a lot iCloud.
It used to be so simple. How can I replace my iCloud data with the info I want?
