Hi there
I'm trying to clean out rubbish as my 320gb drive is two thirds full.
I notice I've dumped a lot of stuff, videos and photos, yet only about 40gb better.
What would a clever man do?
Whats the easiest way I can look at how much HD various things are taking up....preferably without having to press control/info for everything?

thanx Cheeryble

There is a SUPER handy app in the Mac App Store that's designed just for this purpose, and I use it for exactly what you're describing. It's called Disk Inspector.

You know what, it just dawned on me that you said 10.5.8 ...my bad. It's a Snow Leopard and above application. You can perform a disk search by size, locating large space-eaters.

Or use any of the other tools I mentioned. Disk Inventory X in particular is of the 10.5.x vintage and was essentially abandoned when 10.6 came out. Still works though...
