How can I sync a network folder with iTunes?

I have a network folder on my WinXP machine that I store my Music on. I would like to use iTunes on my MBP to listen to that music folder. How can I sync that folder (and keep it synced) with iTunes? I know I can drag/drop the folder into iTunes, but this wont keep it synced.

Any suggestions?

Ive been using MediaMonkey on my windows machine, since iTunes cant sync to my Zen:Vision M.

Why?

I asked because I think it would be possible if you just want iTunes to use the music folder on a network volume.

But, I'm not sure it is possible to have 2 copies of iTunes both using the same folder. I think I heard that when one library makes a change to the music folder, the other copy of iTunes doesn't know about the change and it causes problems.
