I'm a newbie to using Photo on my iPhone 4s and iPhoto on my MacBook Pro. I recently took some photos with my digital camera which I just uploaded to iPhoto on my MacBook Pro. I would now like to transfer the photos to my iPhone to show them to some friends. How can I do it? Thanks

There are several methods, but I use Dropbox to move and share files between Macs, Windows PCs, iPhones and iPads. It's very efficient and doesn't require plugging your iPhone in to sync. It also gives you access to files without using up storage space on your iPhone.

If you are using that MacBook to backup/sync your iPhone than you can use iPhoto and iTunes on the MacBook.

In iPhoto, create an album with the photos you want. Connect the iPhone to the MacBook. In iTunes, click on the iphone icon and migrate through the settings tab to you find photo sync. Select sync only with the album you set up. Click on sync and wait till done.

I also had the same question as both Marc & OP Petoner. I am in disbelief that we are unable to transfer photo albums from the iPhone to mac using either iTunes, iPhoto or image capture. Useless.

Photostream, as I said, will automatically upload photos you take on the iPhone to iPhoto...how hard is that? If you then want to put them into albums you can then sync them back to the iPhone with iTunes...how hard is that?

If you have access to iPhoto on a mac, why would you want to create albums etc using the iPhone iPhoto app (although you can)?

The problem has not been resolved.

I too have thousands of photos on my iPhone (4s) that I have placed in albums on my iPhone when I am waiting on the plane, bus, train, in meetings.... I find making the albums more convenient and easier on the iPhone instead of first downloading them to my computer, adding them to albums on iPhoto and then synching them back to my iPhone.

I would like to have all the albums on my iPhone be transferred as is to my Mac. Is this too much to ask from Apple? It seems so.

Not looking promising for me. I have the same problem my photo albums will not tranfer from my ipas 2 to my mac.
You would think this would be simple to do.
Obviously not
