It appears that Aero is not supported under VMWare Fusion. I haven't tried this myself, but that's what a quick Google search turned up.

Feel free to correct if wrong.

The video drivers that get installed in a Windows virtual machine do not support Aero.

Yeah you can't. Apparently they say it can become unstable so they don't do it.
