Hi,

I'm trying to use an AVCHD camera to stream to UStream as a webcam.

UStream doesn't detect the camera, even when change the Adobe Flash Player settings and the UStream capture device settings.

How can I get it to work using USB?

Is it also possible to use the HDMI port on the camera?
Is there such a cable that converts HDMI to Firewire 800?
Thanks in advanced.

The Universal Serial Bus is not made for streaming such high resolution video as an AVCHD camera provides.

HDMI and Firewire are different protocols and not compatible.

You could look into video capturing devices though, if your camera has a composite / S-video out, it might work with one of those video capture devices that either use USB or Firewire.
But the image will be in SD instead of HD due to the composite connection.
