^^ That's Google's fault.

I just don't delete any mail from my phone ever. Why bother, especially now that there's body text searching?

As far as "mark all as read," God, I miss that.

I've been using a link to the gmail webpage for my mail. Google has made a great HTML5 mobile website that comes up when you put http://www.gmail.com into Safari. So I made it a bookmark on my home screen right above mail. When I see I have mail in the mail app on the phone, I just open the Gmail page right above it. It's much nicer, I get the labels on my emails, and I can do a lot more with it. It even has gchat in it. It gives me a little bit of my Android phone back that I just traded up from.
