How can iCloud edit files for me

I'm just wondering if i have a file on my iMac and my Macbook Pro, and i edit the file on one of them, is their a way that iCloud will atomaticaly change the file on the other computer to the newer version? I don't know if this is possible, but would be really useful if i could do this

It would probably be easier for you to use Dropbox, Box.com, SugarSync, Google Drive or something like one of those.
