Between your MB and the 10 PC laptops you've owned.

There is not difference in the technology used. There ARE PC laptops with battery life equal to or in excess of your MB. Fact.

Doug

I never said there wasn't PC laptops that didn't have equal or better batteries. But, if you're taking about a standard 6 cell battery for a PC running XP or Vista versus a regular battery in a MacBook...well at least my MacBook would win. As I posted above, it gets well over four hours running on Normal. I've gotten over six hours when I turn off bluetooth, airport, and the brightness.

Like I said, this is from my experience. Overall MacBooks (not MBP) have better battery life than the standard PC battery (upgrading the battery doesn't count since you're not comparing the same thing anymore).

Also, there is a difference in technology. How many programs is XP and Vista running continuously and how many are Apple running? That comes into play on how much battery is used and that is part of design technology.

I honestly don't care too much for how long they run, 3+hours is the minimum and I get more than that with my MacBook. What I wonder is how in earth are many, many PC batteries so friggin' ugly and big?? They just go out of the computer and make the whole thing look just awkward. Take a look: Some googled photos.
