How can you tell if a monitor is glossy or matte from tech specs?

I noticed the specs will not usually mention glossy or matte, so I was wondering if there were any other common terms that would indicate which one they were. Thanks.

If we're talking about Apple products, if it doesn't say "antiglare," it's safe to say it will be glossy.

Well, I was wondering for other brands as well.

AFAIK, the majority of other LCDs are matte except for a recent LG line. I could be wrong, though.
