How come I can't conference call?

I tried conference calling but it doesn't work. As soon as I type in the second person the calling buttons turn gray and I can't click on them.

You need to be specific if you want someone to troubleshoot for you. I guess you mean Group FaceTime? You and other recipients need to be running macOS 10.14.1 and iOS 12.1.

I am currently running the latest software
and so are the people im trying to facetime
how come this isnt working?
