How come some photos are full screen and others are not.

I know you can change the preference to square and all that; however, I'm talking about the regular camera preference. Sometimes the picture is full screen and then its not.

Cameras don't really take pics with a 16:9 aspect ratio. So when you are taking your pic it fills the screen... however the actual photo doesn't.

Can you post a screenshot showing how it's not full screen.

I have a few ideas but have to see what you are talking about.
