I have the original 1st gen pencil that's been sitting in my drawer a couple years. I got a 10th gen "regular" iPad that says it supports this pencil. However, I'm haveing a hell of a time getting it to pair and connect. Per some search, is my only option to buy one of these adapters?
Mine only came with a female Lightning to female lightning adapter (looks similar to the link above, but not USB-C). I hoped to use a USB-C to Lightning cable from my iPhone to connect using this "old" adapter, but no luck. The pencil is definitely charged and I can see it using a 3rd party bluetooth app, but no dice connecting so far to the iPad 10th gen.
Any tips or am I SOL until I buy this little $9 adapter? Thanks!
