On my Macbook Pro, (which I just got) whenever I minimized any window it goes down really cool. Like a vertex something. Yeah, that's the best way I can describe it. Now, it's going down just regular and boxy, and I don't know what I did. I don't have any idea how I changed the settings, but I can't get them back. I've looked in the system preferences, Safari prefs, etc. Help.

You've switched from the genie minimize effect to the scale effect. You can switch it back under the Dock pane in System Preferences.

I was responding because I've never seen this effect the OP describes as making the Window minimise like an angular point of a polygon or polyhedron or other figure. 😛

Just kidding.

System preferences -> dock -> genie effect.
