I had a really nice day. I couldn't spend it with my Mom, being that we don't live in the same city, so I made sure to call her a bunch of times. I'm such a good boy......

I went grocery shopping in the morning to get it over with and to beat the late afternoon/evening crowds.

My wife and I went to the park across the street and threw a frisbee around for a while. We were invited to play some Ultimate by some random friendly guy in the park, but we were planning on leaving soon.

Then, we went for a nice long bike ride down to the beach. We hung out there for a while and then we biked home.

I did dinner solo tonight because my wife went to a girls' night fondue party at a friends place (I'd like to think that they're covering each other with melted chocolate. That's what goes on at 'girls only' parties- right ladies? After the tickle fights of course......:D), so I marinated and grilled a beautiful salmon fillet for myself and watched the (unfortunately not so great) Bruins/'Canes game.

Now I'm going to relax, maybe read a little, and get ready for the week.

Tonight I updated the computers at work remotely from my home so that more customers will be interested in purchasing Macs over PCs. Unfortunately, no one knows that I've been doing this for the past several months and so I don't get paid for it. But if I don't do it, no one will. I guess I just do it for my passion for Apple technology. But few people will read this comment either, so see, here I'm now sitting by myself, uh, er, talking to myself. That's, that's chaos.

Woke up in Philly after flying out Saturday. Just drove all around the city to find a place to live while in physician assistant school. Think we found one but the hunt continues tomorrow.

Rewarded myself with a couple martinis at the loew hotel restaurant sole food.

Need some places to try if anyone is familiar with Philadelphia.

spent mine ripping out garlic mustard from the yard. after that, went and plated some video games on my PS3. then typed up my speech for school. besides that, nothing much else.

--Woke up at about 7 with my girlfriend in my arms
--Fell back asleep til 9 when she started getting frisky
--Got frisky and went back to sleep while she showered
--Got moderately frisky again when she was getting ready
--Got ready
--Checked out of the hotel
--Went for lunch, stopping at an udon restaurant for her outside Himeji castle and then proceeding to Subway for myself
--Went shopping in Kobe for clothes where my girlfriend persuaded me to buy a purple Lacoste polo for her pleasure
--Went to Akashi for a beach barbecue on a secluded beach on the Seto Inland Sea
--Had dinner with my girlfriend at a romantic little Italian place in Akashi
--Took the train back to Himeji where my girlfriend lives and said goodbye
--Made the three hour drive back to butt**** Japan where I live
--Was very sad to come back home as usual

Hmmmm sounds like what happens to me. Updating work stuff in your own time. !

Alright so, I woke up at eight and went out for a 30 mile bike ride with my dad.
Came home took a shower and ate brunch with the rest of my family.
Finished up my weekend homework and finished the Great Gatsby.
Went to Princeton with my friend and his girlfriend on a double date, my date left early because of mothers day..
We got a little snack at Panera and walked around Princeton.
We went to see Star Trek, and after that my friend and I went to eat at Hoagie Haven.
Came home at seven, sold my older bike, then I watched Axe Men on History Channel HD while playing Pokemon Platinum. Went to bed at ten.

I think it was a day well spent.

I sat around ALL day. Played some PSP (Final Fantasy Tactics), and ripped in some of my music as Lossless. haha.

Not too productive, but it felt great.

I'm guessing a fair amount of people in the U.S. are preparing for Mother's Day. Also if I just saved you from forgetting that, you owe me a dollar. Paypal is fine.

I have a question about this...

In the UK this is celebrated in March sometime (around the 21st I think) how comes it's a lot later in the US?

Cheers

Made the wife breakfast in bed, gave her a good mothers day present, ( white MacBook with case and Logictech wireles mouse).

Then we went and played tennis for an hour or so.

Took the kids to visit my Mom for and hour or so.

But, since my B'day was friday, I spent a large part of the day enjoying the best B'day present I ever got, a 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport! ( You could have knocked me over with a feather!) :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Very jealous!!!

I had a 2001 Anniversary Edition a few years back, so much fun can be had in those cars and the fact that they are bullet proof really helps ;)

Enjoy it!

Ran errands, including giving my mom her mother's day card, flowers, and of course her brand spanking "new" Blackjack II. Sshhh don't tell her its my old one and I refurbed it...hehehe.

Spent the day driving around the Hertfordshire countryside in various Aston Martin cars. Oh, and a Porsche.

(Friend works for a hire company, they were running a 'fun day', needed an extra driver. Life is good).

:)

Pong, or beruit (no one cares what its called in your area, its all the same). Started at noon, played till sunset, went home and slept it off. Throw in a few cigs, IHOP for breakfast, Subway for lunch and BK for dinner, and we have the perfect unhealthy Sunday. Very satisfying

Nice little article outlining the history of Mother's Day (the US version) vs. other country's holidays honoring moms such as the UK's Mothering Sunday which I believe is the day you were referring to.

I don't do Mother's Day - my family is very non-celebratory - but let mom use my MBP to check her eBay biz since the iMac is being fixed.

Given that she spills tea on her iMac keyboard, I figured it was a sacrifice. How sweet I am.
