To those who have received their Apple Watch, are you confident you went with the "right" size after all?

If not, are you wishing you went with the smaller or larger size (respectively)?

I'd be keen to know.

Also, care to share a photo of your Apple Watch on your wrist for demonstration purposes?

Thanks ...

I got the 38mm and I'm happy with it. Well my wife got her 38mm and it fits me fine. Mine's still in limbo. I REALLY like this watch, but I haven't had much of a chance to play with it yet! I wanted the smaller watch because I wanted it to actually look like a watch on my wrist. And I prefer smaller watches so they're less obtrusive.

I copped the 38mm sport and am extremely pleased with the size.

170mm wrists, 60ish width

The width of my rather skinny wrist is such that a credit card will just about cover it. 38mm turned out to be exactly the right choice. The size of the actual watch also matched my expectations based on the paper cutout and photos I'd seen.

Thanks for the picture.

Are you male, or female?

I ordered a 42mm Sport with white band which would have arrived yesterday.

But I cancelled the order!!

I'm now kind of regretting it.

Thinking of ordering again, but unsure which size to go with?

I hope you're enjoying your watch, and thanks again ...

Dude, you are a genius ;-)

I just did the credit card check & it kind of covers my wrist, too!

The reason for me cancelling my 42mm order is because I was sure it was going to be too big (I don't want a big "chunk" on my wrist - especially as I never actually wear a watch!).

I think the 38mm may actually be the right size for me, after all.

Thanks, buddy ...

38 mm. Perfect for me

Thanks :)

I'm a male. What size are your wrists? Fwiw I'm using the small/medium band and its on the 3rd notch from the end. If you have wrists less than 180mm and want a traditional watch fit, I think the 38 is the way to go.

My 42mm is pretty great. I like bigger screens but i don't like bling at all. So its the perfect balance between understated form and function.

I already love it and can see how its going to change my workflow for the better.

38 for me. Male, 5'3 140lb. Being a smaller guy finally pays off, saved me $50)

Two other Dads noticed at tot Shabbat last night. (Quick Friday night Jewish service for the little kids)

After having the watch for a day this is an excellent question and one that I think makes the watch a particularly difficult purchasing decision.

I ordered the 38mm and 42mm SS with black sports band. As many of you know the 42mm here has had some real supply problems but I did get the 38mm yesterday. When I went for my try on I immediately preferred the 42mm and almost cancelled the 38mm, but they had the white sports band at the try on rather than the black. I think that made a difference. Anyway now I have the 38mm it seems perfect.

My point is that this is more than just the size of your wrist, etc. the band can make a difference to whether a specific size will work as well. However there may be other factors, for example I am having a real hard time reading the complications on the watch faces. I probably need reading glasses (turned 47 yesterday), but generally don't have them and obviously would not wear them to look at my watch. I don't know if the 42mm is that much bigger that I would be able to see these better or whether it is just a matter of getting the right brightness etc, we'll see when the other one comes in.

Anyhow, I can really see a need to try out both sizes, with your actual band, for a day or two to make the absolute right decision.

Thanks goodness apple has a good return policy and has got rid of that silly open box restocking fee as with this type of product you have to try it out in real situations not just 15minutes in a store.

My advice to everyone, if you can cover it on your credit card and you are not certain then order both and take your time to get the right one. It's a beautiful product, you want it to be perfect.

I'd post a picture, but I really think the pictures are misleading, you HAVE to try these things yourself and make a decision.

Just my 2c

My wrist is about the size of yours and I too couldn't be happier with the 38mm. It looks perfectly proportioned. Being skinny saved me $50. :p

I completely agree with this advice.

I ordered both sizes in the wee hours when pre-orders started because I could not decide which I wanted. Later, after spending about an hour at the Apple Store trying them all on (they were very nice there) I still wasn't sure and decided to let both orders ship.

I am a medium sized person so both sized watches would work, and I totally agree that there's no substitute for living with both for a day or two in order to know which I really prefer. There are other factors to consider besides just how it looks on my arm, such as weight, comfort, visibility, and usability.

38mm was fine, I would've been happier with slightly smaller though myself like 36mm.
