Just wondering where the option is? I searched all over. In my iCloud Drive menu i only have the option for photostream.

I can't find anything about iCloud Photo Library.
Also I se a Developer option under Settings>Developer

I have the 8.0 (12A365) version is that the GM?

Same. It's just not there.

Is it just me, or did Apple pull the reference to iCloud Photo Library on their iOS 8 page: https://www.apple.com/ios/ios8/photos/

I was just noticing all that when I went to search for more info and all the cached search results referred to details not on the page.

I have a suspicion that Apple has elected to delay this feature. The rollout as originally described didn't make a lot of sense – it basically left the Mac out of the equation entirely. You wouldn't be able to edit or work with your photos on your Mac at all – iPhoto doesn't doesn't support Photo Library, and Apple's new "Photos" app isn't coming out for a few months at least. What's the point of a "unified" workflow that doesn't let your work with your photos on the desktop?

Yep, it's pulled from that page. The old version: https://web.archive.org/web/20140902203024/http://www.apple.com/ios/ios8/photos/

Also, this iCloud page mentions a lot of new iOS 8-related features, but not iCloud Photo Library: http://www.apple.com/icloud/

This corresponding page did: https://web.archive.org/web/20140902222327/http://www.apple.com/icloud/preview/

No dev account, doesn't work for me on iPhone 5s or iPad 4 in US. No option even to turn it on.

I do see the iCloud beta option on my phone.

My question is, how do i get my shared photo streams off the device and in the cloud only? I plan on getting a 16 GB 6+ and prefer to have those 1.5 GB of pics in the cloud rather than on device storage. Thanks!

I want to turn this on, but I want the new storage pricing. Have they switched it over yet?

Edit: Oh they did, sweet. Buying 200GB

So what works here? Will icloud photo library only work if we have 20 GB+ of storage? Still very confused on this even more since apple removed it from the iOS 8 marketing pages.

I have it (Dev, UDID registered, Canada).

BUT when I go to enable it, it tells me that the pictures I've copied over from iTunes (via iPhoto) will be deleted from my phone.

So how the hell am I supposed to get my pictures onto this thing??

Ok so do you also have more than 5GB of storage as a dev? Is this confirmed to be only working for devs? Seems odd since its the GM and is also mentioned to be included in the GM release notes.

Hi all, read http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2014/09/09Apple-Announces-iOS-8-Available-September-17.html

Photo library beta will not be released until October sometime.

So those who have it seem to have landed well! The rest of us have to wait it seems. Perhaps trying to protect servers....

Mine is there. Please check, its in Settings>iCloud(not photos) >Photos.
