How do I add an avatar?

I just hit 500 posts (Yay!) and was looking how to get an avatar below my name in the forums? Have I just missed it somewhere?

Hmm, it won't let me add one...

It sometimes takes the forum a few hours to allow it once you've reached 500 posts. Also try logging out and back in again.

It takes a while for the server to recognise your status. Check back in a few hours.

Oh ok thanks, Ill check back tomorrow then. Should it just be in the sidebar where I select 'Add an avatar'? Instead of having to use the link you gave me?

Yes, it will eventually be in the sidebar. The link I provided is a direct link to the page.

You can simply use User CP > Edit Avatar if you do not want to use the direct link.
