i have the ubunto iso and vmware fusion, but instead of running linux out of vmware fusion, is there a way i can boot into ubuntu the same way i can boot into windows? There are a couple how to triple boot videos on youtube but i don't know if that will harm my system and those videos don't really tell you how to do it anyway.

you have to have a partition set a linux swap drive other wise it wont work or you could just run parallels
