Hi. How do we change the font size of the type in Yahoo mail and in the hard drive for Sonoma OS 14? The size of the fonts displayed in the hard drive as well as at Yahoo mail including the incoming messages, the type size of the folder names etc. Please be simple and specific. Thanks.

Assuming you are using Yahoo mail in Safari web browser, select View > Zoom In

Assuming you are using Yahoo mail in Apple Mail, Mail > Settings > Fonts & Colors

In Finder, View > Show View Options > Text Size then click Use As Defaults

How do I permanently change the size of the font in the favorites bar? See my attachment for clarity.

(Thank you for the above - the third suggestion seemed to work.)

Just asking the obvious: Could changing the resolution of the whole iMac be an alternative for you?
Using a scaled resolution can make the whole interface appear larger while still keeping its sharpness/details.

I'm assuming a native Sonoma install which only leaves Retina iMacs from 2019 or later. Those should handle scaled resolutions quite well. (Same for the 2017 iMac Pro.)

For yahoo mail -- this is the web-based mail page, right? -- just hold down the Command key and tap the "+" key (if it gets too large, tapping "-" will make it smaller again).

You may also be able to control this by using Safari's "settings for this website".
You can find that choice in the "Safari" menu (use it when you're logged into yahoo mail).
