How do I change my "@me.com" email to "@icloud.com"?

Not being ignorant here, just curious, why would you want to?

Seems like @me.com is less to type, more personal and simpler.

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > (Your iCloud account) > Account > Mail (at the bottom) > Email (under "iCloud Account Information")

Tap the iCloud.com email address.

I cant even click on my @me account at the last step. Its not even highlighted.

Ah. Apparently it's being rolled out gradually over the next few weeks:

When will I receive my new address?

It will take a few weeks for Apple to grant you access to your new @icloud.com email address. You will be notified by email when the process is complete.

Just keep trying to send mail to your iCloud.com email and when it works the email will show up in your me.com mailbox and you can start using it.

Mine has worked for weeks and Apple never notified me.

I really hope not. I've got first.last@me.com and I think that's great (actually its an alias on a main account but I hope and pray one day to be able just to make this my main apple ID and also change my old iTunes account to this)
