How do I change the style of my dock?

Okay so i've been watching some videos on youtube and saw that they had their dock on the bottom but with the side dock style.

To be more clear i'll use pictures.

Click on the in the top left of the screen choose Dock> Position of left. 🙂

Also there is a program called "Docker", google it, its free and its sweet!

i know, i meant that i want the square style dock... just on the bottom not the side.

Type the following into terminal:

defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -bool 'TRUE'
killall Dock


To undo it, type:

defaults delete com.apple.dock no-glass
killall Dock

Yes. Docker is awesome. Easier than terminal code and more options. Plus there's a back to default button should you not like it or royally screw up. 🙂

doesnt work, gives me instalation failure😕

Using this dock on SL, but I didn't use any app for that.
Instead, I manually replaced the dock files 😱
