How do I check my ambient temperature with my mac mini?

    I have those apps (except for iStat menus, I hate how it takes up menubar space and would love it if I could just use the app without polluting my menubar) and neither of them show AMBIENT temp. Menus might, but even if it did I wouldn't want it.

    Ambient temp is like your room temp. I think Mac Mini can't detect that.

    Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, it's that the Mac Mini can't actually detect it.

    Didn't know the Mini couldn't read the ambient temp. My bad I suppose.

    You could try playing with a cheap USB sensor from the bay of E and Thrum.

    No idea if it would work - but the sensors are only a few pounds on the UK site.
