How do I close dashboard?

I've tried force quitting Dock and even force quitting Dashboard in the Activity Monitor but no luck. It still shows up next to my Desktop when I switch to Mission Control. Any help on how to close the process??

Click on the drop down menu next to Dashboard and select "off."
