It seems to be causing a ton of problems and I get CONSTANT crash reports of applications like Quicktime and iPhoto that are apparently crashing because I have it in installed. The crash logs say it's in Application Support folder, but I looked there and didn't find it. Did a spotlight search and nothing. Does anyone know where it's hiding and how I can get rid of it?

    The 3ivx v4.5.1 un-installer performs the following:

but that's a pretty old version.

    Quicktime codecs are usually in:

ONLY delete the 3ivx files... others may be installed and required by iLife

The 3ivx v5.0.4 installer installs these:

BUT... there should be an un-installer named "Uninstall 3ivx" located in:

If you've lost the un-installer, re-install version 5.0.4, and then use the un-installer:

The v4.5.1 installer can still be grabbed here:

    3IVX Watermark Across My Videos

I have a problem with the same program, just a little different. Apparently, at some point, 3ivx trial was downloaded to our Mac. It is now expired and a hideous 3IVX Trial watermark is stretched across my videos for the duration of the playback. As far as I can tell, the program has been removed from the computer, but I feel as though I'm missing something for the watermarks to still be present. There is nothing in the library or any applications or downloads, and the search brings up nothing. I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm on a Mac OS X version 10.6.8 and I think we're working off of snow leopard here. I'm still learning how to navigate the Mac after growing up with a pc.
Thanks for any help in advance!
