Hello. I have Windows installed on a partition, but I wish to delete it. I tried to do so, by going into Disk Utility, selecting the partition, and going to the erase tab. But the partition is just grayed out in there, I can't do anything with it. I tried plugging in my external harddrive and it was recognized. So what is wrong?

Open up the Boot Camp assistant and select "Remove Windows Partition". If you can't do it that way then you will need to do an Erase and Install.

Make sure you select the top drive name in Disk Utilities. It show up as 2, where the first one is the one you want to Erase, the bottom one is there just for show.
