I wanted to use iPhoto instead of the standard gallery app to look at and manage my pics but I can't find the ding dang delete button to erase pics I don't want. Is it there or do I literally have to exit the app and go to the stock gallery app just to delete a picture? If so, that sucks and makes using iPhoto kinda useless for managing

I've been told that deletion of photos by third party apps is not allowed, so I guess this is a case of Apple following its own rule.

And, yes, it sucks.

The Mac version is. They should've made it so with the iOS version too. Super lame

Yes, the Mac version was, but iPhoto on iOS is not iPhoto on OSX. Photoshop on the iPad is not Photoshop on OSX. Neither is Mail. Neither is... well you get the point.

You can't delete photos within iPhoto because iPhoto receives content from the Photos application. You can only hide them.
